To keep your jewelry in great condition, it is best to hang them up or lay them flat when storing. Store your pieces outside of a bathroom and avoid contact with any water, makeup or hair products. If needed, earrings can be wiped clean with a damp cloth; however, be careful because water can discolor some lighter and suede leathers. Tarnish is a natural process when dealing with silver. Store with anti-tarnish strips to avoid tarnish or use a jewelry cleaning/polishing cloth to clean and shine your ear wires. Your pieces should be the last thing you put on after getting ready for the day.
