My name is Adrienne and I am the owner and face behind Almost Friday Designs. I grew up in Manheim, PA and now I live in Leola, PA with my husband Nick, daughter Madison and fur baby Copper. I am a graduate of Kutztown University where I majored in secondary education and met my now husband. I had dreams of becoming an English teacher; however, life had other plans for me. I worked as a substitute teacher for many years in various Lancaster County school districts, before I received a call from a bank I had worked at during my breaks in college. I accepted the job and worked in the bank’s International and then their Letter of Credit Department for years. For the last six (I think, maybe longer), I have worked in BSA/AML/OFAC Department as a Regulatory Compliance Investigator at the same bank. I started Almost Friday Designs in 2013 when I was going through infertility struggles. It was a very difficult time in my life. Cleaning up one day, I came across some old jewelry supplies and decided to use my creative mind and make some jewelry, as I needed a good distraction. With the help and encouragement of a dear friend, Almost Friday Designs was born. I have taken long period of time off during these past years, to have my daughter, Madison and other reasons I will not bore you with now. But in 2018, I decided I needed to get back to crafting because I really did miss it. I started designing new products, which you are seeing today. They have now become my main focus. What’s in a name? Why Almost Friday Designs? Friday is my favorite day of the week and the beginning of the weekend and time to do things I enjoy including creating jewelry. In my office, you will often hear… “It’s Almost Friday.” I love to travel, spend time with my family and friends. My favorite color is teal. My favorite food is Mexican. The farthest place I have traveled is HI.
A Little About Almost Friday
I use leather pieces to create handcrafted light and trendy genuine leather earrings, bracelets and accessories. We also offer vegan friendly options in the form of wood and acrylic. Our earrings come in a variety of sizes, patterns and designs. My hope is that shoppers find that pair of earrings to complete an outfit whether you are going to work, your kid’s soccer game or heading out for girl’s night or date night. All the materials are hand-picked from carefully chosen suppliers. I am also a maker that loves to give back. As my way of giving back to the community, a portion of all sales are donated monthly to a chosen charity.
